In my oil painting, "Harmony of Elements," I reimagine the iconic 1932 photograph "Lunch atop a Skyscraper" by placing the fearless
ironworkers atop jars of Dingle Sea Salt.
This unique twist pays homage to the skilled labor captured in the original image while also celebrating the innovation and sustainability of a local product here on the rugged Dingle Peninsula in the west coast of Ireland.
The juxtaposition of industrious workers and artisanal sea salt reflects the harmony between human ingenuity and nature's elements.
The process of creating this salt, utilizing the pristine waters of the Atlantic, the warmth of the sun, and the gentle West Kerry breeze, mirrors the delicate dance between art, science, and the environment.
"Harmony of Elements" captures the essence of our coastal community's commitment to craftsmanship and ecological responsibility.
